About Our Mission
Keeping American families housed through compassionate, efficient emergency rental assistance — because a stable home changes everything.
No American Family Should Lose Their Home
The Emergency Rental Assistance Program was established with a singular mission: to prevent housing instability and homelessness among American families facing financial hardship.
Through the American Rescue Plan and the Consolidated Appropriations Act, the U.S. Treasury allocated over $46.5 billion to provide direct financial assistance to eligible households struggling to pay rent and utilities.
We believe that housing is the foundation upon which families build their futures. When families are stably housed, children perform better in school, adults maintain employment, and communities thrive. Our program exists to protect that foundation during life's most difficult moments.
